Welcome to the Ellis County African American Hall of Fame website!

It opened as the Hall of Fame in 2016. The facility is available for community meetings and events.

"The mission of the Ellis County African American Hall of Fame Foundation is to expose all students, teachers, and citizens of Ellis County to new ideas as they explore African American history, encouraging critical thinking and creativity. The Hall of Fame is housed in a 1926 historically black former Knights of Pythias hall that later became a Prince Hall Masonic Lodge."

Dr. Jamal R. Allen Rasheed
President / Executive Director
